Fly Fishing

Welcome to Sanibel, Captiva and the Ten Thousand Island area of Southwest Florida. A unique place where crystal clear waters provide excellent opportunities for fly fishermen to sight cast to saltwater gamefish. Captain Ryan Gingerich will guide you through the maze of flats and lush mangrove islets that surround this area. Guiding in the local waters of Pine Island Sound and the Ten Thousand islands, Captain Ryan offers the finest, most consistent sight and flats saltwater fly fishing experience in Florida.

An extraordinary place where huge schools of tailingRedfishcross shallow flats to beg for your perfectly presented fly and where 150 pound Tarpon eagerly open their gigantic mouths to eat a fury tarpon bunny.  A magical maze of mangrove islets where enormous Snook stalk their roots to wait in ambush for well-cast flies. Fly fishing in the salt for big gamesters is the ultimate experience. If you’re a freshwater fly fisherman or fly fishing woman, don’t be intimidated. I will teach you everything you need to know to catch saltwater fish on fly. Whether you’re a new or experienced saltwater fly fisherman, I will help you hone your fly casting and fish catching skills.

Stalking the flats is my specialty  and sight-fishing is my game. This is as close to hunting on the water as you can get.  Don’t waste your time with other so called “fly-fishing” guides. I only guide fly fishermen, not bait chuckers needn't call. If the thought of chasing tails in the salt makes your blood run hot. Give me a call and lets go stalk down some reds, poons, and snookies! (Maybe a trout or two)
