Nuisance Early Goose Season
Missouri goose hunters have excellent opportunities to harvest Canadian geese throughout the early fall season. The daily bag limit is three geese statewide. This “nuisance” season is to control the population of the resident geese. Resident Canadian goose numbers remain high across the state and is especially true of the mid Missouri area.
The early Canadian goose season is designed to maintain a high harvest pressure on the resident Missouri geese. The early season around in Missouri begins runs through most of the first two weeks of October. Early goose season hunts are conducted throughout in and around central and eastern Missouri Space for this hunt is very limited. The season itself is only a few weeks long.
